I am visiting UBC on loan from Universiteit Utrecht.
My research interests include: 1) Inverse problems in seismic imaging and computerized tomography, 2) Scientific computing, 3) Numerical analysis, and 4) PDE-constrained optimization
I have a master's degree in applied mathematics from Utrecht University (the Netherlands) and did my PhD. at Delft University of Technology (also in the Netherlands). My PhD. research was on using correlation-based methods for velocity inversion. My current research also includes waveform inversion and velocity analysis with extended images
