Abstract | High-dimensional data, alternatively known as tensors, occurs in a variety of seismic problems. By exploiting the fact that seismic data can be well represented as a structured tensor, we design algorithms that operate on much lower dimensional parameters. In this talk, we will review some recent developments in interpolating seismic data volumes in the so-called Hierarchical Tucker format as well as demonstrate the need for such formats when tackling high-dimensional problems such as Uncertainty Quantification. |
