SIAG/SIAM Junior Scientist Prize for Tristan Van Leeuwen

We are proud to announce that our former Postdoc Tristan Van Leeuwen, now at Utrecht University, has been awarded the SIAM Activity Group on Geosciences Junior Scientist Prize! This prize is awarded every two years to an outstanding junior researcher in the field of mathematics with an application in the geosciences, for distinguished contributions to the field in the three calendar years prior to the year of the award.

Tristan's work covers the areas of inverse problems in seismic imaging and computerized tomography, scientific computing, numerical analysis, PDE-constrained optimization.
