About me: My research activities in SLIM include the design of simultaneous source acquisition schemes, and the development of sparse recovery algorithms that utilize the inherent redundancy in correlated signals. My general research interests include the analysis, development, and application of sparse signal reconstruction algorithms for distorted and compressively sampled image and video signals which share common support bases. My PhD research was focused on the compression, modeling, and transmission of scalable video content (SVC). Topics covered multi-user wireless video transmission, backward-compatible high dynamic range (HDR) video compression, and generation of HDR content from multiple exposure low dynamic range (LDR) content
